COORDINATED CARE NETWORK
Pioneer partners supporting children and families at the Batesville School District
-
The Coordinated Care Network (CCN) is an organization of community members dedicated to addressing the exceptional needs of Batesville School District students and families while school "care" teams are unable to meet them.
Exceptional needs may include: family finance, access to certain community resources, mental health service referral and/or support, challenging home environment, access to community and school extracurricular activities, parental support issues, etc. (More examples are located at the bottom of the page.)
The CCN will lead a systematic and coordinated effort to identify and assist families in accessing a broad array of services and support or through direct assistance with funds acquired by the CCN through grants and tax-deductible donations. -
The CCN believes each child and their family's physical, social, and emotional needs must be met in order to maximize the child's potential.
We believe that each community should strive to promote "crisis" prevention and early intervention activities. The CCN also believes that the responsibility of the community is to develop and coordinate activities specifically designed to assist children and families in accessing direct services and support aimed at addressing their needs.
-
Pioneer Partners are those individuals, agencies, businesses, and other patrons who provide assistance through the CCN to Batesville School District students and/or their families. Pioneer Partners are provided with a certificate recognizing their contribution to the Coordinated Care Network as well as recognition in local newspapers and district publications.
To get more information on becoming a Pioneer Partner, contact any Board member or district representative. -
- A student was not attending school because the family had no hot water at home and their bathroom had become inoperable.
- A student with significant asthma was in need of an air-conditioned home in order to be healthy.
- A student who was living with her functioning father doubled up with another family that was in need of assistance in securing acceptable housing.
- Students in the Batesville School District, one of which was developmentally disabled, were in need of home renovation in order to provide them with a warm, safe, and adequate place to live.
- Two very young children living with a single mother who had no transportation were in need of assistance in getting their basic needs met, as well as immunizations. Also, the need to facilitate enrollment in a childcare center for these children was critical to their health and welfare.
