Kevin Bledsoe (pictured) was appointed as the new principal of Batesville High School Charter at the March 25 Batesville School Board meeting.

According to a release from the Batesville School District, Bledsoe brings 22 years of experience in education to his new role. A graduate of Overton High School in Memphis, Tenn., Bledsoe holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Speech Communications from Ouachita Baptist University and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.

Throughout his career, Bledsoe has held various roles in different educational settings, including tenures as a classroom teacher and coach for Marion School District and Mena Public Schools.

In 2017, he joined the Batesville School District as a teacher and coach, before becoming assistant principal at Batesville High School later that year.

“I firmly believe that high school is a critical juncture in a student’s life, where they not only acquire knowledge but also develop essential skills and values that will shape their future,” said Bledsoe. “My goal is to create a nurturing and empowering environment where every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.”

Bledsoe is married to Nicole, an English teacher at Batesville Junior High School. They have two children, Beau and Lexi.
