Dr. Ginni McDonald

Dr. Ginni McDonald serves as Superintendent of the Batesville School District, bringing more than two decades of experience in public education, instructional leadership, and strategic school improvement. Throughout her career, she has served as a teacher, building-level administrator, and district-level leader, providing a comprehensive understanding of the systems and supports that help students and staff thrive.

Dr. McDonald’s work has centered on strengthening instructional practices, building collaborative cultures, and developing clear communication systems that engage families, staff, and the broader community. Her leadership is rooted in student-centered decision-making, transparency, and innovative approaches that prepare students for success in an ever-changing world.

Her leadership has earned statewide and national recognition, including being named Principal of the Year and a National School Public Relations Association “Superintendent to Watch,” an honor highlighting emerging leaders who demonstrate excellence in communication and community engagement.

Dr. McDonald holds advanced degrees in educational leadership, including a Doctor of Education, and continues to champion learning, growth, and continuous improvement across Pioneer Nation.

She and her husband, Joe, are proud to call Batesville home and enjoy supporting students, engaging with the community, and celebrating all things Pioneer Nation.
